The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hands-On Technical Lead to join our AI Center. The ideal candidate is a Data Scientist with a proven track record of deploying real-world AI applications at scale in large organizations. This role requires an individual who is deeply passionate about the operationalization of AI models within both data and technical ecosystems and has strong leadership skills to oversee and mentor a team of ML engineers. The primary focus will be on setting the framework to implement AI and support a path to production, working collaboratively with other GM teams to transition their ideas from PoCs to real-world applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Framework Development: Develop and set up frameworks and methodologies that enable GM teams to follow best practices in AI model deployment and operations.
  • Collaborative Implementation: Work closely with Data Scientists across GM to help them transition their ideas from PoCs to production-ready AI solutions.
  • Lead the Deployment of AI Solutions: Oversee the end-to-end deployment of AI, custom AI, and Generative AI models, ensuring seamless integration and flawless operation within our data and technical ecosystems.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of ML engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure project success and professional growth.
  • Azure and Databricks Expertise: Utilize Azure for storage and Databricks for compute, ensuring efficient and scalable data processing and model training.
  • ML Operations with ML Flow: Implement and manage ML Flow as the core of our ML operations, maintaining high standards for model tracking, reproducibility, and deployment.
  • Code Quality and Compliance: Establish CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Enterprise, ensuring rigorous code quality, and registering ethics and bias artifacts to comply with GM's AI policy.
  • Hands-On Coding: Write high-quality code, contributing directly to the development and deployment of AI models using Python.
  • Code Scanning and Quality Assurance: Utilize code scanning tools like SonarQube to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • End-to-End Timing Charts: Create and manage end-to-end timing charts to monitor and optimize the performance of AI models.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong emphasis on deploying AI applications at scale in large organizations.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python.
    • Extensive experience with Azure and Databricks.
    • Deep understanding of ML Flow for managing ML operations.

As a Data Science intern, you will have an opportunity to work on project(s) that may entail:

  • Developing analytical solutions by applying data science and modeling techniques to deliver useful insights for better decisions and improved business performance.

  • Performing hands-on analysis, design, and development of analytical solutions

  • Performing exploratory and targeted data analyses, which could include complex event and real-time event processing

  • Building predictive models and machine learning algorithms

  • Combining models through ensemble modeling

  • Presenting complex information using data visualization techniques

  • Assessing new technologies, as needed, as related to solving business problems

Required Qualifications:     

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master’s or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, or another quantitative field

  • Must be graduating between December 2025 - May 2028

  • Ability to show skills in several of following areas: classification, regression, forecasting, clustering, anomaly detection, co-occurrence grouping, similarity matching, profiling, link prediction, dimensionality reduction, tensor decomposition and regression, and causal inference

  • Proficiency with at least one programming language such as Python, R, Scala or Java

  • Experience with SQL and familiarity with relational databases

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or similar

Compensation:

  • The salary range for this role is $4,700-$6,800, dependent upon class status and degree.

Responsibilities   

Account Management  

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts 
  • Develop sales strategy and business plan for assigned accounts 
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ensure early engagement in the customer buying process to diagnose customers’ needs and tailor solutions to match them 
  • Leverage strategic sales methodology, advance sales opportunities, work with finance to develop profitable deal structure and generate revenue growth 
  • Actively manage sales pipeline, conduct negotiations, and develop competitive deal structure 
  • Collaborate with GM B2B business units to ensure customer success, solution adoption, and sales expansion

Required

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hands-On Technical Lead to join our AI Center. The ideal candidate is a Data Scientist with a proven track record of deploying real-world AI applications at scale in large organizations. This role requires an individual who is deeply passionate about the operationalization of AI models within both data and technical ecosystems and has strong leadership skills to oversee and mentor a team of ML engineers. Responsibilities   

Account Management  

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts 
  • Develop sales strategy and business plan for assigned accounts 
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ensure early engagement in the customer buying process to diagnose customers’ needs and tailor solutions to match them

  • Ability to show skills in several of following areas: classification, regression, forecasting, clustering, anomaly detection, co-occurrence grouping, similarity matching, profiling, link prediction, dimensionality reduction, tensor decomposition and regression, and causal inference

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hands-On Technical Lead to join our AI Center. The ideal candidate is a Data Scientist with a proven track record of deploying real-world AI applications at scale in large organizations. The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hands-On Technical Lead to join our AI Center. The ideal candidate is a Data Scientist with a proven track record of deploying real-world AI applications at scale in large organizations. This role requires an individual who is deeply passionate about the operationalization of AI models within both data and technical ecosystems and has strong leadership skills to oversee and mentor a team of ML engineers. The primary focus will be on setting the framework to implement AI and support a path to production, working collaboratively with other GM teams to transition their ideas from PoCs to real-world applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Framework Development: Develop and set up frameworks and methodologies that enable GM teams to follow best practices in AI model deployment and operations.
  • Collaborative Implementation: Work closely with Data Scientists across GM to help them transition their ideas from PoCs to production-ready AI solutions.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

  • Technical Skills:

What You’ll Do:   

  • Research and analysis: evaluate trends and conduct external benchmarking on organizations with highly rated cultures to deliver actionable recommendations for the Culture team. 

  • Project support: assist in designing, implementing and evaluating new programs and strategies that drive cultural change. 

  • Employee engagement: lead events and facilitate workshops with different employee groups – collecting and analyzing feedback to provide insight. 

  • Cross-functional collaboration: coordinate and build relationships with other stakeholders to help implement our culture strategy. 

  • Communication and storytelling: interact with various people and functions to mine purpose-driven or culture related stories to pitch to internal communications.

  • Have a direct role in driving a multi-year, multi-pronged, global culture activation plan from the ground up for a workforce of over 155,000 people

Required Qualifications:       

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in one of the following areas: Business, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Communication or related fields

  • Able to work fulltime, 40 hours per week

Compensation:  

  • The salary range for this role is $3500-$5,200, dependent upon class status and degree.

Work Arrangement:

Remote: This role is based remotely but if you live within a 50-mile radius of [Atlanta, Austin, Detroit, Warren, Milford or Mountain View], you are expected to report to that location three times a week, at minimum.

The role:

We are looking for two exceptionally experienced engineers who are excited about building visualization platforms to power all General Motors digital products and marketing needs.

Responsibilities 

  • Develop within our core web technologies (client, framework, and services). 

  • Weigh architectural trade-offs and apply synchronous and asynchronous design patterns. 

  • Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.  

  • Be a tech lead and will actively mentor other engineers on the team. 

  • Explore and pitch product ideas and tech initiatives with cross functional teams. 

  • Initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and org-wide critical programs. 

  • Leverage your technical leadership to ensure we adhere to engineering best practices and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities   

Account Management  

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned accounts 
  • Develop sales strategy and business plan for assigned accounts 
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders at all levels 
  • Ensure early engagement in the customer buying process to diagnose customers’ needs and tailor solutions to match them 
  • Leverage strategic sales methodology, advance sales opportunities, work with finance to develop profitable deal structure and generate revenue growth 
  • Actively manage sales pipeline, conduct negotiations, and develop competitive deal structure 
  • Collaborate with GM B2B business units to ensure customer success, solution adoption, and sales expansion 
  • Provide continuous feedback to GM B2B business units to drive future product enhancements 

Operational 

  • Update the CRM system with accurate customer information, contact details and activity log 
  • Implement and track key performance metrics  
  • Accurately forecast sales opportunities

Skills and Experiences  

Required 

  • 5+ years of B2B sales and or account management experience  
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent job experience required 
  • Master’s degree preferred 
  • Proven track record of consistent sales quota attainment 
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence business partners within complex organizations 
  • Strong organization, time management and planning skills 
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities while maintaining effectiveness 
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills that involves understanding the audience; getting the message across; presenting information effectively; and communicating openly
