3.0 out of 5 stars Brothaman, Be More Prudent!!!, November 9, 2011

This review is from: Solved Season 2 (Amazon Instant Video)
This series of facts were covered on TruTV's "Forensic Files," btw.

If you see the movie "Shanghai Triad," the femme fatale pretends that she tricked her paramour just so that her husband can kill him. However, after the paramour dies, the husband has her killed too for adultery. In this "Solved" episode, a woman and her husband set a trap for her co-worker and she ends up being killed too.

In this episode, a husband claims that a man raped and killed his wife and then he killed that man. Now the more clarified story: a white husband says a Black man killed his white wife and then he killed the Black man. This episode says a lot about power differentials and how they still exist despite all this "post-, post-, post-" yammering.

Now, Brothaman, why were you cheating when you had a wife and kid at home? Why did you fall for a trap as much as you know they like to trap us and accuse us falsely? Did you not remember Susan Smith or the Scottsboro Boys? You got yourself killed chasing the vanilla pudding and paid for it with your life!?!? I remember many audience members didn't feel sorry for the candyman in the "Candyman" film franchise. C'mon, brothas! Don't fall for mess like this! Use your upper head!

The killer sounds like he has an Irish last name. However, the actor playing him speaks with a Russian accent. The killer left the US for Russia when things were getting hot. The show never really explains his background. If you like those bearish types, you'll enjoy seeing this actor with his meaty torso and hairy chest.

If I heard correctly, in a Toni Morrison novel, a white man stands over a Black man whose positioned above a Black woman spatially, but it's a metaphor for power as well. In the show's fact pattern, one gender minority and one racial minority are killed while the "last man standing" in the title leaves the killing area with his life intact.

It's a dog-eat-dog world, but don't just walk up to the stronger dog and say, "Eat me please!"
