March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month is a time to encourage everyone over the age of 50 to get screened regularly for colorectal cancer.
Colorectal cancer is cancer of the rectum or colon. ?For men, colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer. ?For women, colorectal cancer is the second most common cancer among Asian/Pacific Islander and Hispanic women, and the third most common cancer among white, black, and American Indian/Alaska Native women.
People over the age of 50 are at the highest risk for colorectal cancer. ?Other risk factors include:
