    Aloysius:Couple things:

    The grunts damage is WRONG right now, for 2 reasons:
    1. Both the plasma pistol AND needler do 8.8 base DPS. I used the PlasmaPistolInCover DPS numbers accidentally. So in reality PP is 8.8, not 17.6.
    2. We discovered that there is a bug and Needler's are SmallArms when they should be AASmallArms. We are looking in to this. If they were AASmall arms, you guys might stop saying that they need a buff!

    I was wondering about that.  They ARE using Needlers after all, so I kind of assumed that was supposed to happen anyways.

    So you mean all this time they have been dealing ONE THIRD of the damage they are supposed to vs. Air?

    hey aloysius this is awesome but im wondering, why does the chopper have less damage from its cannons than the ghost? its like 144 to 120 i think, cause in halo3 a chopper's shots could flip vehicles while ghosts were much weaker

    It does not matter how things were in Halo 3. This game has to be balanced, it would be stupid if the spartans in HW were like Master Chief in Halo 3 ...

    i knew someone would respond like this lol they should be stronger in every way including guns they do take up 2 pop for some reason

    Few questions:

    1. Does AA-Small Arms simply mean it does whichever damage type is higher, or is it an unlisted damage type?

    2. If I'm reading correctly, a Torque Cyclops deals 1031 DPS vs. Buildings, but LESS if it uses its Y ability?  If so, Torque Cyclops are more effective than 3 Gauss Hogs when attacking buildings.

    Brute Damage is wrong

     

    Same with Elite Honor Guards

     

    I just tested with it the CtL Alpha...

     

    5 Brutes killed a Keep twice as fast as 5 EHG

     

    However the stats read

    EHG - 200 BD

    Brutes - 80 BD

     Use the updated information from spreadsheet, I did some calculations of covenant anti-air damage per second.

    I assumed "AA small arms" would do AA damage to aircraft (multiplier of 3) that is shown for ghosts and needler grunts in updated list and that "small arms" would do a multiplier of "1" (chopper damage type) and included the plasma damage from elite (1.8 multiplier).

     

    Covenant AA damage per second        
      Lvl 0 Lvl 1 Lvl 2 Lvl 3
    Grunts (small arms current status) with elite 42 67 93 164
    Grunts (needler as AA bug fix) with elite 42 67 230 429
    Ghosts 257 321 401 401
    Choppers 120 150 173 173
    Vampire n/a n/a 368 515

     

    These calculations show that currently, grunts suffer a lot from not having the AA classification for needler upgrade with AA damage jumping from 93 to 230 at level 2.  If they were bug-fixed to be anti-air small arms, they would be slightly below vampires once they reached deacon status (164 currently to 429 with bug fix) and be a viable anti-air unit.

     

    You can also see that choppers are not effective anti-air units due to their "small arms" classification.
