Homework in The Evergreen State College and Carleton College room has the same basic parts every week: Math practice, Language practice, independent Reading, and a Spanish packet.

Language Practice-            Students are given 5 questions per day to practice grammatical concepts.  This should take about 5 minutes to complete.

Math Practice- Students are given 5 problems per day to practice Mathematical concepts.  This should take about 5 minutes to complete

Reading Log-            Students spend 20 minutes reading a text that is appropriate to their reading level.  After reading, they summarize what they read on their reading logs.  Those reading logs are then checked and initialed by an adult.

Spanish Packet- Students are given a packet of work covering topics from the week's lessons.  The packet is to be completed and handed in on Friday or the final school day of the week.  This should take most students about 10 minutes a day.
