Teacher Leader Training Scholarships ? Four for 2012-2013 School Year!

Funding for four scholarships is made possible by an anonymous donor, Hameray Publishing Group/Yuen Family Foundation, and Pioneer Valley Books.

Hameray Publishing Group is dedicated to publishing innovative literacy materials for today's educators. The Hameray Publishing Group, in conjunction with the Yuen Family Foundation, is offering two scholarships to defray the cost of training teacher leaders at a Reading Recovery University Training Center.  In addition to the scholarship, Hameray/Yuen Family Foundation will donate books ($1,000 value) to the newly trained teacher leaders for use in their teaching.

Pioneer Valley Books, an educational publishing company based in Amherst, MA, is offering a scholarship to defray the cost of training a teacher leader at a Reading Recovery University Training Center.  In addition to the scholarship, Pioneer Valley Books, Inc. will donate their books ($1,000 value) to the newly trained teacher leader for use in his/her teaching/training.

Amount: $15,000
Awarded to: A school or school system training teachers to become Reading Recovery teacher leaders
Eligibility: School districts located in the United States.  Teacher leader candidates must be members of RRCNA.  School districts training teacher leaders with i3 grant funds are not eligible to apply
To attend: A year-long graduate course at a Reading Recovery University Training Center
