I want to coach and/or referee. Do I need experience? No. Region 15 offers training and support to all of our volunteers. U6 through U12 coaches must complete an age appropriate coaches clinic, and U8 coaches must also be certified as referees (unless they have a parent that will referee). All volunteers are required to take the Safe Haven Course (one time requirement) and fill in yearly volunteer forms that require background checks.
[back to FAQ's]
How do I volunteer as a coach or referee? Region 15 welcomes parent involvement. If you would like to coach, assistant coach, or become a referee, please note that on your child's application. You must also complete a volunteer form and turn it in for processing before you can be approved as a coach, or any other volunteer. Volunteer applications can be completed on-line at
www.eayso.org. Please complete the on-line form, print and sign two copies and bring them to one of our registration dates along with a form of identification. Volunteers are still subject to approval by Region 15 and the AYSO National Office. No applicant is guaranteed a volunteer position until they are notified by the CVPA, or the RC.
[back to FAQ's]

There is no refund made for notifications after August 31. All cancellations must be made in writing and submitted via email to

[back to FAQ's]
I have taken Safe Haven. Do I need to take it again? No, the Safe Haven class is a one time requirement. All new volunteers are required to take this short, informative session as part of AYSO's Child Protection Program.
[back to FAQ's]
I'd like to sit in a comfortable chair and just watch my child play...... Wouldn't we all? All AYSO regions throughout the United States rely on our parent volunteers to make soccer possible. You can still sit in that comfortable chair and watch your child's game, but please be aware that all parents are expected to help the team and in some cases help the region function.
WE HAVE NO PAID STAFF, so be prepared to be a volunteer...because without volunteers, there wouldn't be any soccer games.
[back to FAQ's]
Where do I send/mail the forms? Please see the NEW player or RETURNING player registration instructions for completing registration forms.
