Universal Audio:UAD-1, UAD-2
Presets work in both
mono and stereo versions. These are "starting setting" presets. Load
and adjust. Please do not rename these presets

curve |
RIAA-recovery-curve.
Record a LP into a sound card and you'll need this
phonographic EQ recovery curve to make it sound correct. A
great solution. |

My personal default setup
for this channel strip. Point to note: The low EQ shelf is a
low rich Pultec like sound. The High EQ Shelf is
modeled after the NEVE 1073 High shelf. When seen, you will
ask yourself, "why does the 1073 hi shelf say 10K, but the
Neve 88RS is set to around 4k?" I make these presets
by ear and that is the matching setting. Compressor is
a good solid smooth all-around setting. Adjust the threshold
first. |

This adds the curve that you
get by just turning on the Helio eq with the bass knob
engaged, but all boost/cut set to zero. Just to add that
Helios curve with out using a Helio EQ and its processing
demands. Use it as is in the mix bus for a flavor
additive, or tweak from here to get more out of it. |

1073 curve |
The Low Shelf is matched up
to the Low shelf on the 1073 set to 110hz. the High shelf is
too matched up with the Hi shelf on the 1073. The mid freq
are set to good starting points. Tweak the boost/cut
knows for a great console eq sound. |

Great dirty limiter setting
for Bass Guitar and other instr. Just adjust the Limiter's
threshold (furthest left knob) to get 4-8db in gain
reduction. Adjust the output level to make up gain. More
round and wooly then the 1176. |
