The Sleuth Book for Genealogists

The following are changes that occurred after the book went to press.

p. 22 Sidebar. Delete item #1. The sidebar should now read: To find a Family History Center near you, see this Internet site: www.familysearch.org (click Library, then Family History Centers). Also check your telephone directory under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
p. 22 3d bullet on page. Delete the item pertaining to the American Genealogical Lending Library, as that option is no longer available.
p. 22 Last bullet. Change publication date of The Genealogist's Companion and Sourcebook to 2003, as the new edition was published in 2003.
p. 83 Under Selected Bibliography, author Croom, Unpuzzling Your Past is now in its 4th edition, published in 2001.
p. 88 Top line. Change 1850 to 1860.
p. 208 Bold sentence beside Internet Source icon. The bold should now read: "These catalogs are available online at www.archives.gov/publications/microfilm_catalogs.html. Also look at www.archives.gov/publications/online_publications.html.
p. 210 Line 4. After "libraries," add "state archives."
p. 210 Line 5. Delete "the American Genealogical Lending Library in Bountiful, Utah (with annual membership, [800] 760-2455) and," as that option is not longer available.
p. 210 Bold sentence beside Sources icon. Change Web address www.lds.org to www.familysearch.org.
p. 213 Under The Calendar Change, lines 9-11. That sentence should be corrected to read "When Rome went to bed on 4 October 1582 and awoke the next morning, it was October 15 instead of October 5."
p. 213 Under The Calendar Change, 4th paragraph, 2nd sentence. Should read "When Rome adopted the new calendar on 15 October 1582, it was still October 5 in London and other cities."
p. 250 Under About the Citations, first bullet should read "The Family History Library in Salt Lake City ..."
p. 265 Last endnote on the page, #45, should read "Claiborne County, Mississippi," not Claiborne Parish.
