This web page provides an updated version of the LOD cloud diagram. The diagram shows datasets that are published as Linked Data on the Web as well as the linkage relationships between the datasets. Altogether, the diagram contains 570 datasets and 2909 linkage relationships between the datasets.
1. The Diagram
We provide a PNG and PDF as well as a click-able SVG version of the diagram. The click-able SVG version connects each dataset to metainformation about the dataset in the datahub.io data catalog.
We also provide a single color version of the diagram in PNG, PDF and SVG format.
The diagram shows datasets that are published as Linked Data on the Web and are interlinked with other datasets. The size of the circles corresponds to the indegree of each dataset, meaning that large circles indicate that many other datasets set RDF links pointing at a specific dataset. The arrows indicate the existence of RDF links between two datasets.
2. Creation of the Diagram
The diagram is based on dataset metadata from two sources. Out of the 570 datasets that are contained in the diagram:
- 374 were described by the data providers themselves in the datahub.io dataset catalog.
- 196 datasets were discovered by a crawl of the Linked Data web conducted in April 2014.
